Objective: Provide comprehensive vision care services to underprivileged children and adults across Sri Lanka, ensuring that those with vision impairments receive the diagnosis, treatment, and support they need to thrive.
Description: The Clear Vision for All project aims to bring essential vision care services to communities that lack access to proper eye health resources. Our team conducts regular vision screening camps in schools and underserved areas, offering free eye exams, prescription glasses, and referrals for advanced care when necessary. By focusing on early detection and intervention, we help prevent long-term vision issues that can affect education, employment, and quality of life.
In addition to screenings and corrective eyewear, we offer educational workshops on eye health, teaching communities the importance of regular check-ups and how to protect their vision. The project also provides access to surgeries for children and adults suffering from conditions such as cataracts or glaucoma.
Impact:
- Improve the vision health of thousands of children and adults, enabling them to excel academically, professionally, and personally.
- Offer free corrective eyewear to those who cannot afford it, ensuring that vision issues do not hinder a child’s ability to learn or an adult’s ability to work.
- Provide life-changing eye surgeries to individuals with treatable conditions, restoring their sight and independence.
Long-term Goal: Our goal is to expand this project nationwide, ensuring that vision care becomes accessible to all, regardless of location or economic status. We aim to partner with schools, hospitals, and local health organizations to build a sustainable model of vision care outreach.
